Trip to Nevada
March 22 thru March 31, 2003
Thanks for visiting my Nevada 2003 pictures page. Use the navigation links at
the bottom of each page to browse through the pictures. Also, you can click on
the thumbnails to view a larger version of the picture.
Image notes:
All of the pictures on this and the following pages
were taken using a Sony CyberShot DSC-F717 digital camera. Some processing was
done on the pictures:
- The originals from the camera are ~2MB in size
(2560x1920 pixels). In the interest of download speed, I have decreased the
thumbnails to 240x180 pixels (~10KB).
- The color saturation on many of the originals didn't do justice to the
scene. In most cases, I boosted the colors a bit.
- I also increased the contrast (sharpness) of some images.
- Some of the subjects were too small in the camera image. This was
especially true of the big horn sheep at Lake Mead, where the sheep were
just a dot against the background cliff. In these cases I cut the image you
see out of the camera image to enlarge the subject.
All of this processing was done using a shareware image viewing/processing
program called IceView. This is a very simple program to use, and the license
fee is only $30.
